Bank of Ghana opens applications for its regulatory sandbox

The Bank of Ghana (BOG) has announced the opening of its regulatory sandbox for various financial institutions and fintech start-ups. The window for applications will be open from February 13th to March 14th 2023. The regulatory sandbox aims to support and encourage innovation in digital financial services technology.

The BOG is accepting innovations in the areas of payments, remittances, crowdfunding, and micro-lending for the first cohort. Institutions interested in participating can submit their applications via https://bog.gh.app.emtech.com/login.

The outcome of the applications will be communicated within 21 working days after the closure of the application window on March 14th 2023. This is an excellent opportunity for financial institutions and aspiring fintech start-ups to test and develop their innovative ideas within a supportive and regulated environment.
