The Wa-based innovation hub Noni hub emerged as the ultimate winner of the MTN Ayoba MoMo Accelerator Challenge.
Noni hub, which currently has three micro apps on the MTN Ayoba platform, received GHS50,000 and a lifetime partnership with MTN Ayoba. Smithfield, an agribusiness app, won in the Experts Choice category while Africa Global Radio emerged as ‘’the Most Liked App’’. The best MoMo Solution App was awarded to the Tudu Online Shopping app. The final award for Top Influencer Award was given to “Demasko’. The other award winners received cash prizes of GHS20,000 and a lifetime partnership with Ayoba.
MTN Ghana created the Ayoba MoMo Accelerator Challenge to push local businesses to leverage Ayoba as a platform for growth. The super app platform allows startups and tech hubs to deploy digital solutions, and startups can deploy microapps unto the ayoba ecosystem to provide rich functionality to users. The platform currently has more than 2.5 million users in Ghana and over 21 million across Africa.
An elated Chief Executive Officer of Noni Hub, Sumaila Chakurah, dedicated the ultimate prize to his team, the people of Wa, and the whole of the Upper West Region for their support. He said they are working to put more apps on the Ayoba platforms to help clients witness more knowledge about the service. Mr Chakurah expressed profound gratitude to MTN Ghana for the laudable initiative and urged other developers to take advantage of Ayoba.
