The Veuve Clicquot Bold Awards, one of the most prestigious awards for female entrepreneurs, has shortlisted Izzy Obeng, founder of the entrepreneurship support organization, Foundervine, for the 2023 awards.

Izzy is an entrepreneur, business coach and professional speaker who leads Foundervine – an international training consultancy specializing in start-up and scale-up acceleration programmes. She aims to address the social and economic inequality faced by women and young people from under-served communities when starting a business or social enterprise. Since 2018, the company has supported over 5,000 diverse-led ventures to start and scale through training, space, networks and access to capital.

In 2021, Foundervine launched in Ghana to support Junior High School students and teachers to develop practical STEM and enterprise skills through the Ghana Science and Tech Explorer Prize. During the 3-year programme, Foundervine will work with 20,000 Junior High School students and teachers, schools and communities in the Greater Accra and Ashanti regions to encourage practical learning and the development of STEM and ICT skills through a series of challenge prizes.
