Gregory Rockson (CEO, mPharma) and Peace Hyde (Co-founder, Mahogany Studios) have been selected as part of the Young Global Leaders (YGL) Class of 2023 of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
The YGL is a community of individuals under 40 who the World Economic Forum recognizes for their outstanding leadership, professional accomplishments, and commitment to society and their potential to contribute to shaping the world’s future by providing inspiring leadership.
Gregory Rockson’s mPharma improves access to medicines by providing innovative financing and inventory management solutions to hospitals, pharmacies and patients. The startup’s proprietary vendor management inventory system has made quality medication affordable to around 1 million Africans. Having raised over $55 million, the company serves over 400 pharmacies in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Zambia, Ethiopia, and Zimbabwe.
Peace Hyde is an award-winning producer, multi-hyphenate TV Host, Creator, Journalist and Activist. She is the Head of Digital Media and Partnership and the West African Correspondent at Forbes Africa. She is also the producer of the award-winning Vice News documentary “Inside Nigeria’s push to end police brutality” and the creator of Netflix’s first African reality TV series, Young, Famous, & African. She was shortlisted by President Barrack Obama to be part of the 200 Inaugural Obama Foundation Africa Leaders, a recognition that highlights her work with Aim Higher Africa.
