AgriMercarb, the Kosmos Innovation Center-backed agritech is a manufacturer of insect protein, fertilizer and energy using black soldier flies. Founded by Luther Jesse Quarshie, Emmanuel Acquah in 2022, the company leverages the power of black soldier flies. These busy insects become tiny waste-recycling machines, consuming organic waste and leaving behind nutrient-rich frass. AgriMercarb then transforms this frass into a potent organic fertilizer, promoting sustainable waste management
Ecovon produces biodegradable building and packaging materials made from coconut waste and sugarcane bagasse. Led by Brenya Isaac, the company seeks tobring to the market the first non-additive, bio-based, renewable wood product to market which is naturally flame retardant and anti-fungal without added binders (glues).
