Two Ghanaian tech startups, Aquantuo and Metaschool, have made it to the Top 50 finalists for Africa’s Business Heroes (ABH) 2024. This recognition places them among Africa’s most promising entrepreneurs and changemakers.
The 2024 ABH Top 50 features a diverse group, spanning 14 sectors and 18 countries, with 40% female and 20% francophone representation. Agriculture remains a dominant sector, along with strong showings in education and healthcare, reflecting ongoing trends. The diversity among finalists highlights ABH’s dedication to inclusivity, showing increased participation from various regions and demographics. This broad representation speaks to the growing influence of changemakers driving both local and global impact.

Metaschool, led by Richard Duodu, is revolutionizing education with its AI-powered teaching assistant. The platform provides on-demand video lessons, adaptive learning paths, and practical science experiments. With AI-driven personalized study plans, Metaschool ensures students have access to quality education and detailed explanations on various subjects, making learning more accessible.
As finalists, Aquantuo and Metaschool will gain access to ABH’s global community of innovators, networking opportunities, and capacity-building programs. They will also participate in the ABH Top 50 Virtual Bootcamp, where they will engage in workshops led by African business leaders and experts, further enhancing their entrepreneurial skills as they advance in the competition.
