Ghana-based agritech startup SAYeTECH has emerged as the winner of the 2024 MEST Africa Challenge (MAC), securing a $50,000 equity investment to accelerate its growth and impact.
The competition, organized in partnership with the Norwegian Embassy, focused on uncovering exceptional agritech companies tackling key agriculture challenges in West Africa. SAYeTECH outshone six other startups from the region, demonstrating its potential to revolutionize agriculture.
SAYeTECH, known for its advanced agricultural equipment, impressed the judges with its cutting-edge solutions tailored to improve farming efficiency and sustainability. Their innovative machinery supports smallholder farmers by optimizing productivity, reducing waste, and addressing critical challenges in the agricultural sector.
The Kumasi-based agtech company has a portfolio including solar-powered multi-crop thresher, mobile hammer mills for poultry feed processing, poultry feed production assembly line, variable nozzle clay extruder, hybrid grain dryer, coconut dehusking, grain processor on wheels, cocoa pod breaking machine among other. The company also designs and produces other equipment for commercial and industrial use for the manufacturing industry.
The $50,000 investment will enable SAYeTECH to expand its operations, enhance its technological offerings, and strengthen its position in local and regional markets.
