Three promising startups from Ghana have been selected to advance to the next phase of the prestigious AfriCircular Innovators Programme, a pan-African initiative designed to accelerate circular economy solutions. These startups are among 10 ventures chosen from an initial pool of 30, representing Ghana, Rwanda, and Côte d’Ivoire. They will now gain access to advanced technical coaching and funding opportunities to scale their innovations.
Backed by the African Development Bank Group’s Facility for Circular Economy (ACEF) and implemented in collaboration with the African Circular Economy Alliance (ACEA), the initiative fosters partnerships that connect entrepreneurs with a robust network of stakeholders committed to sustainable economic growth across Africa.

Sabon Sake is a waste-to-biochar climate technology company that harnesses the power of agricultural waste, such as cocoa, sugarcane bagasse, and rick husk, to convert it into soil amendments that enhance the quality of the soil. Founded by Audrey S. Darko, Sabon Sake is accelerating regenerative agriculture in rural farming communities.
Eco-Solve Innovations Africa creates biodegradable and hot-water-soluble substitutes for polyethene shopping bags using cassava scratch. Founded by John Hall-Acquaah, EcoSolve hopes to reverse the damage caused by single-use plastics and styrofoam to the environment by manufacturing eco-friendly alternatives for everyday use by consumers.
