VC4A, Africa’s premier platform connecting entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors, has appointed Yaw Preprah as Lead for Special Projects. In this role, he will spearhead key initiatives aimed at accelerating the growth and impact of Africa’s burgeoning startup ecosystem.
Peprah steps into the role taking the lead on the coordinating the Africa Early Stage Investor Summit (AESIS). AESIS, co-hosted by VC4A and the African Business Angel Network (ABAN), is recognized as the continent’s premier gathering of early-stage investors and ecosystem stakeholders. It serves as a platform for dialogue, deal-making, and collaboration among the most influential voices in Africa’s venture capital ecosystem.
Ghana-born, South Africa-raised, and now based in Amsterdam, Peprah brings over two decades of experience working at the intersection of capital, community, and social impact across Africa and Europe. His career spans multiple sectors, including finance, investment, and development. Prior to joining VC4A, he served as Investor Relations Manager at Goodwell Investments, where he played a pivotal role in managing investor engagement, supporting fundraising efforts, and overseeing financial and impact reporting for Africa-focused investment portfolios.
Peprah’s professional journey includes roles at leading institutions such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Standard Bank, and the National Empowerment Fund. In 2015, he was appointed Chief Business Officer at Wesgro, the official tourism, trade, and investment promotion agency for Cape Town and the Western Cape, where he oversaw strategic programs aimed at attracting investment and stimulating regional economic development.
