Agro Innova, the Ghana-focused agtech, has been selected for Endeavor South Africa’s African Agritech Scaleup Program. Funded by FMO, the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank, the program aims to address the growth challenges faced by African agri-ech startups and help these high-impact companies scale and raise private capital.
At the forefront of digitizing African agriculture, Agro Innova offers a suite of software tools for smallholder farmers. Its AkokoMarket platform provides a vital link for poultry farmers, connecting them to guaranteed markets and essential inputs, such as maize, via their mobile phones. Complementing this is the FBS Innova farm management software, a digital toolkit that offers features such as financial tracking, weather updates, and crop calendars. These features empower farmers to adopt best practices, make data-driven decisions, and enhance their climate resilience.
Over the 12-month acceleration period, Agro Innova will gain unparalleled access to tailored mentorship, strategic commercial introductions, and crucial investor networking opportunities through Endeavor’s global network of business leaders and experts. A testament to the program’s impact, a previous cohort member, Farmerline, successfully raised $20 million in equity and debt funding to expand its operations following participation.
