The Ghana Hubs Network has elected Yaw Adu-Gyamfi as its new Chairperson, taking over from Josiah Kwesi Eyison, the founder of the iSpace Foundation. As Chairperson, he will provide strategic direction for innovation, tech, and business hubs across the country in collaboration with the other board members.
Prior to this role, he served as the Director of Research and Policy for the association, where he led research and evidence-based policy engagements with academia, government, and the private sector.
Adu-Gyamfi is an innovation researcher and ecosystem enabler. He is a co-founder and Director at the Centre for Social Innovations, a social enterprise that leverages community resources to co-create entrepreneurial and innovative solutions that address development challenges.
Ghana Hubs Network is an umbrella body of 70+ innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital technology hubs and organisations across Ghana. It fosters collaboration, creates synergies among members and partners, and influences policy action that supports the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. The umbrella body also facilitates pan-African and global exchanges for peer learning.
As a mouthpiece of the innovation ecosystem, the body advocates for the right policies that create an enabling environment for developing a cohesive and strengthened tech and business ecosystem in Ghana. It is, for instance, currently spearheading the passage of the Ghana Startup Bill.
