GCB Bank PLC, Ghana’s largest indigenous bank, has appointed Patrick George Quantson as its new Chief Digital Officer (CDO) as part of its digital transformation strategy. Quantson brings a wealth of experience in financial technology and digital innovation to his new role.
As CDO, Patrick Quantson will lead the bank’s digital agenda, transforming internal operations and customer-facing platforms. He will focus on delivering frictionless, inclusive, and high-impact financial experiences for all GCB Bank customers.
Quantson is a seasoned digital transformation and fintech leader with over 15 years of experience in banking, payments, and innovation across Africa. A graduate of Ashesi University, he began his career at CalBank and later joined Stanbic Bank Ghana, where he held key roles, including Head of Digital Channels, Digital Transformation Lead, and Chief Technology and Operations Officer. At Stanbic, he led major initiatives in customer experience, digital onboarding, and payments infrastructure.
In 2022, Patrick joined DreamOval Ltd. as Chief Transformation Officer. He was later appointed Group CEO, where he oversaw the company’s strategic shift into a pan-African digital transactions platform and laid the foundation for significant growth.
