Shopbop, the global online retail destination for style inspiration and discovery, has partnered with Bôhten, the African-inspired eco-friendly eyewear brand. Bôhten’s online store is now live on Shopbop, offering women a curated selection of ready-to-wear and accessories from over 1,000 established and emerging designers.
The collaboration between Shopbop and Bôhten was made possible through The Folklore Connect, an online wholesale platform that helps retailers connect with diverse brands worldwide. Bôhten’s retail account support, Elorm Amankwa, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating that “this partnership allows us to tap into the young fashion-forward women’s market. It’s a great opportunity for us to understand that audience better and learn how we can tailor our products for them.”
Shopbop now offers some of Bôhten’s favourite styles, such as the Abana Olive Sun, Barklae III Chalbi Sun, and Manyara Marmalade Sun, as well as a customized selection of Jade Lemon frames with brown gradient lenses only available at Shopbop.
Founded by Nana Boateng Osei and Nana Kwadwo Osei, the Ghana-produced Bôhten is an eyewear brand inspired by its founders’ love for nature and reverence for their African heritage. Featuring classic styles and more experimental shapes, Bôhten’s collections are led by quality, luxury, and sustainability principles. The brand’s ultimate mission is to create a zero-waste facility to create jobs and promote sustainable design and social entrepreneurship.
