In partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, MEST has awarded grant funding to seven startups that participated in the MEST Express Accelerator program. Last year, the accelerator successfully ran three cohorts across Accra and Kumasi with 30 startups. From this batch, seven startups were awarded grant funding of $57,000 to support their growth plans. 

  • Founded by Benjamin Aseidu and Edward Mensah, Traderex provides mechanization and warehousing solutions and leverages technology to give farmers access to financial markets through electronic trading platforms that guarantee off-take. 
  • Bolstaar is a farm technologies aggregation platform that allows smallholder farmers to have on-demand access to farm technologies, machinery, and implements within 48hrs
  • Led by Eyram Amedzor and Emmanuel Fache, Stride Delivery is an on-demand delivery platform that connects e-commerce merchants, businesses, and individuals to couriers.
  • Founded by Stephen Ofori, Emmanuel Ofosuhene, and Joseph Anto, Skunni, a simple, robust, and affordable online school management system helps primary and tertiary institutions automate time-consuming administrative work.
  • Poultry Mall is an e-commerce platform that provides farmers with a guaranteed marketplace for their produce.
  • Led by Zeinab Acheampong, Hakama makes convenient home cooking products to address post-harvest losses and ensure food safety in Ghana’s food value chain.
  • Founded by Prince Baffour Agyei, Moreplex offers holistic skin and hair care solutions through an AI-powered dermatology platform that diagnoses, prescribes products, and gives personalized skincare routines.
