As part of his birthday celebration, the Chief Executive Officer of Quick Angels, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, supported ten entrepreneurs with a seed capital of GHS25,000 each to boost the growth of their businesses. The companies were selected from a pool of 1,200 applicants.

The finalist comes from various industries, including technology, recycling, fashion, and food & agriculture. The winning companies revolutionizing the agriculture and food values chain include West African Feeds, Focus Farms, Bryta Foods, Ane Foods, Lubicah Ghana and Kay’s Oyster Mushroom. West African Feeds, for instance, leverages tropical insect farming techniques to convert food waste into climate shock-resistant food alternatives for Africa’s livestock feed industry. Founded in  2018, the company is led by Rose Noah.

Two technology companies among the winners are Dcard Technologies and eDOK Medical app. Dcard Technologies is Africa’s foremost pioneer in modern data storage, retrieval and exchange solutions for individual and growing businesses. Founded by George Lamptey, it enables professionals and companies to share their business details using NFC or QR code technology.
