  1. How would you describe your job to a 5-year-old?

At BuukMeNow, we solve service providers’ booking and payment problems so they don’t have to worry.

  1. What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned since launching your startup or getting into the role?

I knew it was essential to get started, but I underestimated the exponential progress that follows after you get started.

  1. What’s one function or area of your job you spend the most time on?

Much of my time is spent discussing users’ feedback and requests and providing solutions.

  1. What are three trends in your sector you are bullish on or keeping a close tab on?
  • Adoption of digital tools to help streamline operations of traditional businesses.
  • We’ve seen massive growth in mobile and remote services, especially post-pandemic.
  • There’s competition in the service industry, and access to useful business insights is a request many service-based businesses are exploring and demanding.
  1. What gaps do you think startups in Ghana should be building for?

There are many opportunities, but we should consider digitising/automating many of our manual processes and working with the government to create favourable policies to encourage young entrepreneurs.

  1. If you were to build a new company, which historical or contemporary figure would you appoint to the board and why?

As a technical founder, I would love to consult Elon Musk. I like the idea of a private individual deciding to build beyond boundaries and even systems that the government relies on.
